<description>Met a guy on saturday who reminded me an awful lot of the minor in a nuber of different ways. I nearly fell over when i found out his name was matthew, who ever thought the world could handle 2 of them ( meant in the nicest possible way)</description>

  <title>Can anyone help me?</title>
  <link>http://kirsten-s.livejournal.com/25486.html</link>
<description>Would anyone happen to know the quickest way to irvine through rush hour traffic in the morning?&lt;br /&gt;I went onto AA map planner and they gave me the route down the M77 -&amp;gt; A77 -&amp;gt; A71. I did this route this morning but there are a load of roadworks on the A71 at the moment so was wondering if there was a quicker way to go?&lt;br /&gt;Any help would be much appreciated!</description>

  <title>Busy Bee</title>
  <link>http://kirsten-s.livejournal.com/23675.html</link>
<description>Yesterday was a bit of a mad day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I got ready to go to church and got stuck in the biggest load of road works so ended up being a big bit late and all was shut up so i rang the bell but there wasn&apos;t an answer so decided to the head back to the flat with good intentions of going to the evening service. &lt;br /&gt;I got stuck in the stupid road works again on the way back so headed up to tesco to get my lunch and by the time i had done that it was half 12 - like i said big road works! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then i took a wee jaunt to Dundee and managed to get there in a time that i certainly shouldn&apos;t have gotten there in! Gran is in hospital again so i was going to see her but i only intended to say for about half an hour but then my grandad turned up as did one of my aunts so i was there for a wee it longer than expected so had to drive back through to glasgow in the dark and didnt get back till 7.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Finished off the day going to a launch night of warren miller&apos;s (a skier) new video which was quite interesting - i can&apos;t wait to see the whole thing tonight, now all i have to do is find the glasgow film theater.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway off to uni!</description>

<description>i know this won&apos;t sound very nice but i&apos;m glad to know there are others with a stupid amount of work that they are worrying over - it seems like its never going to finish.&lt;br /&gt;I spent the whole weekend trying to get the introduction and background research written for my honours project which i&apos;m due to hand in tomorrow to my supervisor and another piece of coursework i needed done today.&lt;br /&gt;I have now finished both of them so i&apos;m happy, i just wish that was it, work seems to be never ending at the moment!!&lt;br /&gt;I cant wait for the 20th of January, everything will be handed in by then and then i have a weeks&apos;s holiday before starting out on my last semester of uni - all of which is out of placement!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I think i&apos;m one of the stupidest student&apos;s in the world, I went to the gym at 9 this morning!! It appears to help my work which is definitely a good thing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I will bid you goodbye and see you soon, i need to retire to the next part my project that needs written up, &lt;br /&gt;see you soon!</description>

<description>haven&apos;t been on in ages so i thought i&apos;d write and say hello.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Last few weeks have been a bit weird what with family and personal problems but it certainly made me realise who my real friends are when they stick by you and make sure you&apos;re ok even if it was just by a quick message here and there. Things like that certainly make you sit up and open your eyes to everyone and everything around you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I feel like i have eventually started to get on top of uni work even if i did find out today that all the data i had collected for my honours project is &quot;broken&quot; and i have to do it all over again, it sucks but all my subjects have been absolute stars agreeing to come back and do it again me so next wednesday afternoon (12-5) is going to be spent in the movement lab, what fun i&apos;ll have.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thought i had more time than this (probably would have if i hadn&apos;t made my tea whilst trying to write this-how could this have taken 30 minutes?!?), need to check over a bit of work to be handed in tomorrow before i go to the gym at 8 so i&apos;ll say goodbye for the moment.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Keep your pecker up!</description>

<description>Guess who now has perfect 20/20 vision for the first time in 12 years...me!&lt;br /&gt;It is an incredibly bizarre experience that mot people take for granted. It&apos;s definatly worth it now but this time last week I would have told you something very different. I had to lie in the sitting room with the curtains closed and wearing a pair of sunnies, very stupid looking but very necessary. I couldn&apos;t really open my eyes for the first 3 days but it was nicer just to keep them shut and lie in the dark listening to the radio. Twas fun! Wee sister and mum and alec all took turns looking after me and i know i was far from the easiest patient, my excuse was i had what felt like grit in my eye and i wasn&apos;t allowed to rub them. &lt;br /&gt;Alec scared me yesterday, he asked me if i could read a sign and explained exactly where it was and i couldn&apos;t see it and i was terrified i&apos;d lost my sight all over again. It was not a nice trick!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So i can now see and i&apos;m so happy and i love it.</description>

<description>I&apos;m scared....&lt;br /&gt;in about 4 hours i&apos;m having laser eye surgery and then i&apos;ll be blind for about 3 days, not an experience i&apos;m looking forward too but hopefully on monday i&apos;ll be able to wake up and see the alarm clock without having to feel around for my glasses first. So although i&apos;m back in glasgow something tells me i won&apos;t be seeing anyone out this weekend! Cross your fingers for me will you??</description>

  <link>http://kirsten-s.livejournal.com/21861.html</link>
<description>is beckoning....&lt;br /&gt;I start on Tuesday at nine which should be good fun, getting thrown in head first. Slightly apprehensive about the whole thing or the honors project at least.&lt;br /&gt;I&apos;m quite looking forward to being back in Glasgow full time instead of a couple of days here and there. A bonus is I have a car with me again this term so i can nip about, i&apos;m way too dependent on it - very bad - need to learn to walk again!&lt;br /&gt;I&apos;ve had the most amazing summer this year. I was just thinking about how i&apos;ve done many things i would never have considered doing before and how thankful i am that i had the chance to do these things. If you even get the opportunity to do something different then seize the moment - you&apos;ll never regret it!&lt;br /&gt;I know it sounds clicheyed (no idea how to spell that word) and i&apos;m only young and many would say i haven&apos;t experienced anything in my life but when i say go for it i mean it!</description>

<description>I have something to add to the shoe mystery. I haven&apos;t heard much about any recently then i was quite happily driving down the A9 and i saw 5 shoes!!!! Only 1 pair though and they were about a mile apart, the rest were all together in a wee collection. Very bizarre.&lt;br /&gt;And another thing, what is with glasgow&apos;w weather!!! Inverness was sunny at 3 this afternoon.</description>

<description>Well Skye was very wet!!!!&lt;br /&gt;I was taken to Skye for my impending 21st birthday by alec to see the art exhibition going on at the old man of storr, if you go to www.nva.org.uk/storr/home.html (I still don&apos;t have a clue how to put in links, someone will have to give me a lesson one day!) it gives you some info on it. &lt;br /&gt;Basically it is a walk done at midnight with a sort of light and sound exhibition. YOu all wear head torches and walk up the hill - in our case in the rain - but even that didn&apos;t make the experience any less enjoyable. There was different light patterns all around you with gaelic poems floating through the darkness and on the way back down there is a woman singing gaelic songs. It was quite eery (how do you spell that word?) It was very pretty and very enjoyable. I would say go and do it for yourself but it finishes this friday night.&lt;br /&gt;I did a 1000 mile round journey since sunday. I love driving through Glen Coe, it never ceases to amaze me. The trip was rounded up by a detour to St Andrews today. My gran suffered a small stroke last week so i wanted to see how she was and seeing her has put my mind to rest. Having worked with stroke patients my mind immediately thought of the worst scenario but she is really good, at home and in bed but alert and there doesn&apos;t appear to be any huge long lasting problems.&lt;br /&gt;At home for another week and then back to Glasgow, i&apos;m coming back!!</description>

  <title>A Flying Visit</title>
  <link>http://kirsten-s.livejournal.com/20676.html</link>
<description>I&apos;m in glasgow again for a couple of days and man is it miserable here! The weather is Inverness is brilliant.&lt;br /&gt;Been in to uni today to speak to my studies adviser and there was a fire alarm so we had a very good meeting sitting outside on the steps in the cold, what fun!&lt;br /&gt;I was helping my mum with the duke of edinburgh hike at the weekend around the cairngorms and the midgies were out in full force so it looks like i have an interesting skin disease on my arms..lovely, just thought you might all want to know that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have to go back up to Sneck tomorrow to finish off some wood stripping, another reason for my visit. The stuff we are using to do it has run out in Inverness and the surrounding area, apparently me and catriona have used it all up, we have become pretty good at it even if i do say so myself so if there is anyone out there who has an old house and would like the wood stripped back to its original state i offer myself to you, at a small fee of course.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And thats my ever so exciting life for the moment....back to uni i 3 weeks, you never know it might just get a little more interesting&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;P.S. Congratulations Mr Minor</description>

  <title>On a cherpier note...</title>
  <link>http://kirsten-s.livejournal.com/20451.html</link>
<description>I haven&apos;t been on this in ages!!!&lt;br /&gt;First off, congrats to Lewah, im so sorry it has taken me so long to say it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Second...i got a new phone. It was the only descent one i was offered for an upgrade and im pretty chuffed.&lt;br /&gt;For being a complete non-girlie girl, its pinkish and i think its cool. Only downside is that it doesn&apos;t have a radio. It does have an MP3 player and catriona has a whole load on the computer that she put on to her phone so i&apos;ll get her to put it on to mine. Its a Samsung E530. I had a sunsung before then i went back to Nokia but always said i would go back to Samsung, Nokia&apos;s break to me for some reason!?!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Back to uni soon, not sure whether to be happy or sad. Feel really wierd about going back to uni this year, different to the last couple where i just didn&apos;t want to go back to working again. Not sure how i feel, i cant even out it down to the fact that it is my last year.&lt;br /&gt;And this year i&apos;ve got a new buddy to have lunch with...the minor...lucky you!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Im offskie, dad has a BBQ and Iona and John are up to open all the pressies that got propped off after the wedding and to see us all so i&apos;m going to go and chat.&lt;br /&gt;Toodleloo</description>
